  • In O365, go to the Skype for Business Admin Center
  • Go to Organization
  • Click the |External Communications| tab
  • Under public IM Connectivity, check the box for Let people use Skype for Business to communicate with Skype users outside your organization
  • Make sure all of the "oddball" SRV DNS records are in place
  • Allow 24 hours
