You need to be logged into O365 as a Native admin - not through the KRT Partner account

Geez. They changed every f'ng thing in here. Trying to figure it out...

Preparation - only has to be performed once per organization:

Looks like this can now be managed within the

Security and Compliance Admin Console

Under

Permissions

, add the appropriate person(s) to the

eDiscovery Manager

role

Wait a bit for it to propagate...

ORIGINALLY:

Exchange Admin / Permissions / Admin Roles

Add the admin user to the

Compliance Management

Admin Role

Add the admin user to the

Discovery Management

Admin Role

Modify the Discovery Management Admin Role

Add the

Mailbox Import Export

Role

Seems to take a while to take effect ... NOT immediate

Give it some time, log out and then log back in again

Create the Search task
Go to the Security and Compliance Center
Go to Search / Content Search
Click the [+ Guided Search] button
Give it a name
Next to Exchange email, click on Choose users, groups...
[Choose users, groups or teams] button
Search for and add the user(s)
[Done]
[Next]
If you want to filter the search, do so
[Finish]
Wait for it to finish Preview
On the left, [Save & run]

Create the Export files
Save it, go back to the Search list, select the search, click [More / Export Results], set options and [Export]
Select the |Export| tab, click the searchname_Export entry and Start export
Review options, [Start export]
Select the search, on the right and monitor the Status - click [Refresh] periodically
When the data is READY click Download exported results
Copy the Export key
Click Download results
Paste the Export key and specify the location, click [Start]
