There is a discrepancy between 7 Pro and Home versions - still dialing this in

Kill passworded sharing in windows - W7 is LOCATION SPECIFIC

Network and Sharing Center
Change advanced Sharing Settings
Select turn off password sharing. Make sure turn network discovery and file sharing are on.

8 and 10, this is under "All Networks"

Add Network user to Users group ???
Set Permissions on the shares on the Everyone account
Also ensure you set both Sharing AND Security on the shared folders
